Article L114-2 of the French Sports Code

The sports resources, expertise and performance centres carry out the following tasks on behalf of the State:

1° Ensure, in liaison with the sports federations, the training and preparation of athletes on the lists mentioned in article L. 221-2 ;

2° Participate in the national network of high-level sport and ensure the operation of national centres of resources and expertise in the fields of sport, youth and popular education;

3° Implement initial and continuing training in the fields of physical and sporting activities, in application of article L. 211-1, and in the fields of youth and popular education, in accordance with national objectives and in line with the regional training plan for the region concerned;

4° Ensure the initial and ongoing training of State employees carrying out their duties in the fields of sport, youth and popular education.

Article L114-2

Les centres de ressources, d’expertise et de performance sportive exercent, au nom de l’Etat, les missions suivantes :

1° Assurer, en liaison avec les fédérations sportives, la formation et la préparation des sportifs figurant sur les listes mentionnées à l’article L. 221-2 ;

2° Participer au réseau national du sport de haut niveau et assurer le fonctionnement des pôles nationaux de ressources et d’expertise dans les domaines du sport, de la jeunesse et de l’éducation populaire ;

3° Mettre en œuvre des formations initiales et continues dans les domaines des activités physiques ou sportives, en application de l’article L. 211-1, et dans les domaines de la jeunesse et de l’éducation populaire, conformément aux objectifs nationaux et en lien avec le schéma régional des formations de la région concernée ;

4° Assurer la formation initiale et continue des agents de l’Etat exerçant leurs missions dans les domaines du sport, de la jeunesse et de l’éducation populaire.
