Article L131-1 of the French Tourism Code

As part of its planning powers, the region defines the medium-term objectives for regional tourism development.

The regional tourism and leisure development plan provided for in article L. 131-7 sets out the terms and conditions for implementing the objectives defined by the regional plan, particularly in terms of funding.

Agreements between the local authorities concerned define, on the one hand, the actions contributing to the execution of the objectives set by the regional plan and, on the other hand, the terms and conditions for implementing the plan referred to in the previous paragraph.

Article L131-1

Dans le cadre de ses compétences en matière de planification, la région définit les objectifs à moyen terme du développement touristique régional.

Le schéma régional de développement du tourisme et des loisirs prévu à l’article L. 131-7 fixe les modalités et les conditions de mise en oeuvre des objectifs ainsi définis par le plan régional, notamment en matière de financement.

Des conventions entre les collectivités territoriales concernées définissent, d’une part, les actions contribuant à l’exécution des objectifs fixés par le plan régional et, d’autre part, les modalités de mise en oeuvre du schéma mentionné à l’alinéa précédent.
