Article L132-17 of the French Consumer Code

The violation of the prohibition mentioned in article L. 121-12 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros.
The amount of the fine may be increased, in proportion to the benefits derived from the offence, to 10% of average annual turnover, calculated on the basis of the last three annual turnover figures known on the date of the offence.

La violation de l’interdiction mentionnée à l’article L. 121-12 est punie d’un emprisonnement de deux ans et d’une amende de 300 000 euros.
Le montant de l’amende peut être porté, de manière proportionnée aux avantages tirés du délit, à 10 % du chiffre d’affaires moyen annuel, calculé sur les trois derniers chiffres d’affaires annuels connus à la date des faits.
