Article L133-15 of the French Tourism Code

At the request of the tourist municipalities concerned, the classification referred to in article L. 133-13 is awarded by order of the competent administrative authority for a period of twelve years.

Tourist municipalities classified as tourist resorts retain the designation “tourist municipality” for the duration of their classification.

Le classement mentionné à l’article L. 133-13 est, à la demande des communes touristiques intéressées, prononcé par arrêté de l’autorité administrative compétente pour une durée de douze ans.

Les communes touristiques érigées en stations classées de tourisme conservent la dénomination “ commune touristique ” pendant toute la durée de leur classement.
