Article L1424-1 of the French Public Health Code

As part of the powers conferred on it by article L. 4221-1 of the General Local Authorities Code, the Regional Council may define specific health objectives for the region. It draws up and implements the corresponding regional actions. It informs the State representative in the region and the Director General of the Regional Health Agency of the content of these actions and the resources it devotes to them.

Dans le cadre des compétences qui lui sont reconnues par l’article L. 4221-1 du code général des collectivités territoriales, le conseil régional peut définir des objectifs particuliers à la région en matière de santé. Il élabore et met en œuvre les actions régionales correspondantes. Il informe le représentant de l’Etat dans la région et le directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé sur le contenu de ces actions et les moyens qu’il y consacre.
