Article L1442-2 of the French Labour Code

For the purposes of the training provided for in article L. 1442-1, employers shall grant employees of their company who are members of an industrial tribunal leave of absence, which may be divided into several periods, up to a maximum of :

1° Five days per mandate, for initial training. These absences are remunerated by the employer as compensable industrial tribunal activities provided for in article L. 1442-5;

2° Six weeks per mandate, for continuing education.

The provisions of article L. 2145-10 apply to these authorisations.

Pour les besoins de leur formation prévue à l’article L. 1442-1, les employeurs accordent aux salariés de leur entreprise membres d’un conseil de prud’hommes des autorisations d’absence, qui peuvent être fractionnées, dans la limite de :

1° Cinq jours par mandat, au titre de la formation initiale. Ces absences sont rémunérées par l’employeur au titre des activités prud’homales indemnisables prévues à l’article L. 1442-5 ;

2° Six semaines par mandat, au titre de la formation continue.

Les dispositions de l’article L. 2145-10 sont applicables à ces autorisations.
