Any action relating to the performance of the employment contract shall be barred after two years from the date on which the person bringing the action knew or ought to have known of the facts enabling him to exercise his right.
Any action relating to the termination of the employment contract shall be barred after twelve months from the date of notification of the termination.
The first two paragraphs do not, however, apply to actions for compensation for personal injury caused during the performance of the employment contract, to actions for payment or recovery of wages and to actions brought pursuant to Articles L. 1132-1, L. 1152-1 and L. 1153-1. They are without prejudice to the shorter limitation periods provided for in this Code, in particular those provided for in Articles L. 1233-67, L. 1234-20, L. 1235-7, L. 1237-14 and L. 1237-19-8, or to the application of the last paragraph of Article L. 1134-5.
