Article L212-31 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

A decree of the Conseil d’Etat, issued after consultation with the Autorité de la concurrence, specifies the terms of the association contract provided for by articles L. 212-29 and L. 212-30. This contract may not contain any clause relating to the programming of the associated exhibitors’ cinemas, nor any clause relating to exclusive membership of an access formula.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat pris après avis de l’Autorité de la concurrence précise le régime du contrat d’association prévu par les articles L. 212-29 et L. 212-30. Ce contrat ne peut contenir ni clause relative à la programmation des établissements de spectacles cinématographiques des exploitants associés, ni clause d’appartenance exclusive à une formule d’accès.
