The producer may grant the consumer a commercial guarantee committing him for a given period of more than two years, known as a “commercial guarantee of durability”. If he offers such a commercial guarantee of durability, the producer is under a direct obligation to the consumer to repair or replace the goods for the period indicated in the offer of the commercial guarantee of durability; he is also under an obligation to implement the guarantee under the same conditions as the legal guarantee.
The producer may offer the consumer more favourable conditions than those described in the offer.

The requirements set out in Article L. 217-22 are applicable to the commercial guarantee of durability.
