Article L218-1 of the French Consumer Code

By way of derogation from Article 2254 of the Civil Code, the parties to a contract between a seller or supplier and a consumer may not, even by mutual agreement, alter the duration of the limitation period or add to the grounds for suspending or interrupting it.
