Article L2231-2 of the French Labour Code

The representatives of the organisations referred to in Article L. 2231-1 are authorised to enter into contracts, on behalf of the organisation they represent, by virtue of :

1° Either a stipulation in the articles of association of that organisation ;

2° Or a special resolution of that organisation; or

3° Or special written mandates given to them individually by all the members of this organisation.

Employers’ associations determine their own method of deliberation.

Article L2231-2

Les représentants des organisations mentionnées à l’article L. 2231-1 sont habilités à contracter, au nom de l’organisation qu’ils représentent, en vertu :

1° Soit d’une stipulation statutaire de cette organisation ;

2° Soit d’une délibération spéciale de cette organisation ;

3° Soit de mandats spéciaux écrits qui leur sont donnés individuellement par tous les adhérents de cette organisation.

Les associations d’employeurs déterminent elles-mêmes leur mode de délibération.
