Project management is a comprehensive task that must provide an architectural, technical and economic response to the programme defined by the project owner for the completion of a project.
The project management task is distinct from that entrusted to the economic operators responsible for the works, subject to the provisions relating to global contracts in Chapter I of Title VII of Book I.

La mission de maîtrise d’œuvre est une mission globale qui doit permettre d’apporter une réponse architecturale, technique et économique au programme défini par le maître d’ouvrage pour la réalisation d’une opération.
La mission de maîtrise d’œuvre est distincte de celle confiée aux opérateurs économiques chargés des travaux, sous réserve des dispositions relatives aux marchés globaux du chapitre Ier du titre VII du livre Ier.
