Article L2622-4 of the French Labour Code

When the national minimum professional wage for unskilled workers in Mayotte is lower than the minimum inter-professional growth wage applicable in Mayotte, the organisations bound by a branch agreement or, failing that, by professional agreements meet to negotiate on wages.

If the employer party fails to take the initiative within three months, negotiations will begin within fifteen days of a request from a representative trade union organisation within the meaning of article L. 2231-1.

Lorsque le salaire minimum national professionnel des salariés sans qualification à Mayotte est inférieur au salaire minimum interprofessionnel de croissance applicable à Mayotte, les organisations liées par une convention de branche ou, à défaut, par des accords professionnels se réunissent pour négocier sur les salaires.

A défaut d’initiative de la partie patronale dans les trois mois, la négociation s’engage dans les quinze jours suivant la demande d’une organisation syndicale représentative au sens de l’article L. 2231-1.
