Article L312-1 of the French Consumer Code

The provisions of this chapter apply to any credit transaction referred to in 6° of article L. 311-1, whether concluded for valuable consideration or free of charge and, where applicable, to its guarantee, provided that the total amount of credit is equal to or greater than 200 euros and less than or equal to 75,000 euros.

Article L312-1

Les dispositions du présent chapitre s’appliquent à toute opération de crédit mentionnée au 6° de l’article L. 311-1, qu’elle soit conclue à titre onéreux ou à titre gratuit et, le cas échéant, à son cautionnement, dès lors que le montant total du crédit est égal ou supérieur à 200 euros et inférieur ou égal à 75 000 euros.
