Article L313-6 of the French Consumer Code

The creditor shall ensure the permanent availability of clear and comprehensible general information on the credit agreements referred to in Article L. 313-1. The credit intermediary also ensures that the same information is always available. This information is provided on paper, on any other durable medium or in electronic form. It shall be easily accessible and provided free of charge to the borrower.

A decree in the Council of State shall determine the list and content of this general information.

Le prêteur assure la disponibilité permanente des informations générales, claires et compréhensibles, sur les contrats de crédit visés à l’article L. 313-1. L’intermédiaire de crédit assure également la disponibilité permanente des mêmes informations. Ces dernières sont délivrées sur papier, sur tout autre support durable ou sous forme électronique. Elles sont facilement accessibles et sont fournies gratuitement à l’emprunteur.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat détermine la liste et le contenu de ces informations générales.
