Article L314-28 of the French Consumer Code

Unless this is incompatible with the nature of the distance contract concluded or the financial service provided, the borrower may, immediately and at any time during the credit transaction, object by any means to the use of a durable medium other than paper and ask to be provided with a paper medium free of charge. He may also carry out all the formalities and obligations incumbent on him on any other medium agreed with the creditor and on a medium identical to that used by the creditor.

A moins que cela ne soit incompatible avec la nature du contrat à distance conclu ou du service financier fourni, l’emprunteur peut, immédiatement et à n’importe quel moment de l’opération de crédit, s’opposer par tout moyen à l’usage d’un support durable autre que le papier et demander à bénéficier sans frais d’un support papier. Il peut par ailleurs effectuer l’ensemble des formalités et obligations qui lui incombent sur tout autre support convenu avec le prêteur et sur un support identique à celui utilisé par le prêteur.
