Article L322-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Collective management organisations shall inform right holders who wish to entrust them with the management of their rights of the rights from which they benefit pursuant to Articles L. 322-3 to L. 322-7 and L. 324-4 as well as the procedures for exercising the right provided for by the latter, before obtaining their consent for this management.

They are also required to provide them, prior to their consent, with information concerning management fees and other deductions made from the income referred to in a of article L. 324-9.

Article L322-1

Les organismes de gestion collective informent les titulaires de droits qui souhaitent leur confier la gestion de ceux-ci des droits dont ils bénéficient en application des articles L. 322-3 à L. 322-7 et L. 324-4 ainsi que des modalités d’exercice du droit prévu par ce dernier, avant d’obtenir leur consentement pour cette gestion.

Ils sont également tenus de leur fournir, préalablement à leur consentement, des informations concernant les frais de gestion et les autres déductions effectuées sur les revenus mentionnés au a de l’article L. 324-9.
