Article L3631-1 of the French Public Health Code

The agents mentioned in article L. 1312-1 shall ensure compliance with articles L. 3611-1 to L. 3611-3 and shall investigate and establish the infringements provided for in the same articles L. 3611-1 to L. 3611-3.

To this end, they shall have the prerogatives granted to them by article L. 1312-1 and by the texts taken for its application. 1312-1 and by the texts adopted for its application.

In order to establish an offence under articles L. 3611-1 and L. 3611-3, these officers may require the transferee to provide proof of majority, by producing any official document bearing a photograph.

Les agents mentionnés à l’article L. 1312-1 veillent au respect des articles L. 3611-1 à L. 3611-3 et procèdent à la recherche et à la constatation des infractions prévues aux mêmes articles L. 3611-1 à L. 3611-3.

Ils disposent à cet effet des prérogatives qui leur sont reconnues par l’article L. 1312-1 et par les textes pris pour son application.

Ces agents peuvent, pour constater une infraction prévue aux articles L. 3611-1 et L. 3611-3, exiger que le cessionnaire établisse la preuve de sa majorité, par la production de tout document officiel muni d’une photographie.
