Article L3632-4 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The functional allowance voted by the Metropolitan Council for the effective performance of the duties of President of the Metropolitan Council is at most equal to the reference term mentioned in article L. 3632-1, increased by 45%. It may be increased by 40%, provided that the total amount of the maximum allowances likely to be allocated to the members of the Metropolitan Council is not exceeded without taking into account the said increase.

The functional allowance of each of the vice-presidents with executive delegation from the Metropolitan Council is, under the same conditions, at most equal to the maximum allowance for a metropolitan councillor, increased by 40%.

The functional indemnity of each of the members of the permanent commission of the metropolitan council, other than the president and vice-presidents with executive delegation, is, under the same conditions, at most equal to the maximum indemnity of a metropolitan councillor, increased by 10%.

Officer’s allowances increased pursuant to the first two paragraphs of this article may be reduced under the conditions set out in the second paragraph of Article L. 3632-3.

Article L3632-4

L’indemnité de fonction votée par le conseil de la métropole pour l’exercice effectif des fonctions de président du conseil de la métropole est au maximum égale au terme de référence mentionné à l’article L. 3632-1, majoré de 45 %. Elle peut être majorée de 40 %, à condition que ne soit pas dépassé le montant total des indemnités maximales susceptibles d’être allouées aux membres du conseil métropolitain hors prise en compte de ladite majoration.

L’indemnité de fonction de chacun des vice-présidents ayant délégation de l’exécutif du conseil de la métropole est, dans les mêmes conditions, au maximum égale à l’indemnité maximale de conseiller métropolitain, majorée de 40 %.

L’indemnité de fonction de chacun des membres de la commission permanente du conseil de la métropole, autres que le président et les vice-présidents ayant délégation de l’exécutif, est, dans les mêmes conditions, au maximum égale à l’indemnité maximale de conseiller métropolitain, majorée de 10 %.

Les indemnités de fonction majorées en application des deux premiers alinéas du présent article peuvent être réduites dans les conditions fixées au second alinéa de l’article L. 3632-3.
