Article L424-10 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

After submitting their application for a multi-annual residence permit, and while awaiting the issue of this permit, the foreign national mentioned in article L. 424-9 has the right to exercise the profession of their choice under the conditions laid down in article L. 414-11.
The conditions under which the foreign national is authorised to reside in France while awaiting the issue of this residence permit are determined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

Après avoir déposé sa demande de carte de séjour pluriannuelle, et dans l’attente de la délivrance de cette carte, l’étranger mentionné à l’article L. 424-9 a le droit d’exercer la profession de son choix dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 414-11.
Les conditions dans lesquelles l’étranger est autorisé à séjourner en France dans l’attente de la délivrance de cette carte de séjour sont déterminées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
