In order to ensure the safety and protect the health of people working on a building or civil engineering site, the client, the project manager and the health and safety coordinator mentioned in article L. 4532-4 implement, during the design, study and development phase of the project and during the construction of the work, the general principles of prevention set out in 1° to 3° and 5° to 8° of article L. 4121-2.

These principles are taken into account, in particular, when making architectural and technical choices and when organising site operations, with a view to:

1° Planning the execution of the various works or phases of work taking place simultaneously or successively ;

2° Predicting the duration of these phases;

3° Facilitate subsequent work on the structure.
