Article L511-6 of the French Consumer Code

Officers are empowered to investigate and record infringements or breaches of the following provisions:

1° Chapters I, II and IV of Title I of Book I;

2° Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Chapter I of Title II of Book I;

3° Chapters I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII of Title I of Book II;

4° Sections 2a, 3, 5, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 and subsections 3 and 4 of Section 6 of Chapter IV of Title II of Book II;

5° Chapter VI of Title I of Book VI;

6° Section 1 of Chapter I of Title II of this Book.

To this end, they have the powers defined in Section 1 and subsections 1 to 5 of Section 2 of Chapter II of this title and may implement the measures provided for in Section 1 of Chapter I of Title II.

Article L511-6

Les agents sont habilités à rechercher et à constater les infractions ou les manquements aux dispositions suivantes :

1° Les chapitres Ier, II et IV du titre Ier du livre Ier ;

2° Les sections 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 et 9 du chapitre Ier du titre II du livre Ier ;

3° Les chapitres Ier, II, III, IV, V, VI et VII du titre Ier du livre II ;

4° Les sections 2 bis, 3, 5, 16, 17, 18, 19 et 20 ainsi que les sous-sections 3 et 4 de la section 6 du chapitre IV du titre II du livre II ;

5° Le chapitre VI du titre Ier du livre VI ;

6° La section 1 du chapitre Ier du titre II du présent livre.

Ils disposent à cet effet des pouvoirs définis à la section 1 et aux sous-sections 1 à 5 de la section 2 du chapitre II du présent titre et peuvent mettre en œuvre les mesures prévues à la section 1 du chapitre Ier du titre II.
