Article L531-1 of the French Consumer Code

Obstructing authorised agents from carrying out their duties in breach of the provisions of article L. 512-4 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros.
The amount of the fine may be increased, in proportion to the benefits derived from the offence, to 10% of average annual turnover, calculated on the basis of the last three annual turnover figures known on the date of the offence.

Le fait de faire obstacle à l’exercice des fonctions des agents habilités en violation des dispositions de l’article L. 512-4 est puni d’un emprisonnement de deux ans et d’une amende de 300 000 euros.
Le montant de l’amende peut être porté, de manière proportionnée aux avantages tirés du délit, à 10 % du chiffre d’affaires moyen annuel, calculé sur les trois derniers chiffres d’affaires annuels connus à la date des faits.
