The maisons de l’emploi, whose remit, adapted to the configuration of the employment areas, may not exceed the region or, in Corsica, the local authority, contribute to the coordination of public policies and the local partnership of public and private players acting to promote employment, training, integration and economic development.
Based on a shared diagnosis, they carry out, in particular, the task of observing the employment situation and anticipating economic change.
They contribute to the coordination of public employment service initiatives and work in conjunction with the institution mentioned in article L. 5312-1, specialised networks and local players, while respecting the competencies of the regions and départements:

In conjunction with companies, social partners, chambers of commerce and professional sectors, they contribute to the development of local human resources management. They also carry out information and awareness-raising initiatives on discrimination in recruitment and employment, as well as on professional equality and reducing the pay gap between men and women.
