Article L5331-2 of the French Labour Code

It is forbidden to publish in a newspaper, magazine or periodical or to disseminate by any other means of communication accessible to the public an insertion of job offers or offers of home-based work containing the mention of an upper age limit required of a job applicant.

This prohibition does not apply to offers that set age conditions imposed by legal provisions.

Il est interdit de faire publier dans un journal, revue ou écrit périodique ou de diffuser par tout autre moyen de communication accessible au public une insertion d’offres d’emploi ou d’offres de travaux à domicile comportant la mention d’une limite d’âge supérieure exigée du postulant à un emploi.

Cette interdiction ne concerne pas les offres qui fixent des conditions d’âge imposées par les dispositions légales.
