Article L5421-3 of the French Labour Code

The condition of seeking employment required to benefit from a replacement income is met if the persons concerned are registered as jobseekers and carry out, on their own initiative or at the suggestion of one of the organisations mentioned in article L. 5311-2, positive and repeated acts with a view to finding a job or setting up, taking over or developing a business.

A decree of the Conseil d’Etat shall determine the implementing measures for this article.

Article L5421-3

La condition de recherche d’emploi requise pour bénéficier d’un revenu de remplacement est satisfaite dès lors que les intéressés sont inscrits comme demandeurs d’emploi et accomplissent, à leur initiative ou sur proposition de l’un des organismes mentionnés à l’article L. 5311-2, des actes positifs et répétés en vue de retrouver un emploi, de créer, reprendre ou développer une entreprise.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat détermine les mesures d’application du présent article.
