Article L552-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration will offer the asylum seeker a place to stay.
This offer will take into account the needs, personal and family situation of each applicant in the light of the assessment of needs and vulnerability provided for in Chapter II of Title II, as well as the accommodation capacity available and the proportion of asylum seekers received in each region.

L’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration propose au demandeur d’asile un lieu d’hébergement.
Cette proposition tient compte des besoins, de la situation personnelle et familiale de chaque demandeur au regard de l’évaluation des besoins et de la vulnérabilité prévue au chapitre II du titre II, ainsi que des capacités d’hébergement disponibles et de la part des demandeurs d’asile accueillis dans chaque région.
