A medical biology laboratory established in another Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area may carry out the analytical phase of a medical biology examination begun in France, for insured persons covered by a French social security scheme, under the following conditions :
1° Where the laboratory is established in a Member State or Party whose accreditation conditions have previously been recognised as equivalent to those of this chapter, it must submit a declaration stating that it has been accredited by the competent authorities;
2° Where the laboratory is established in a Member State or Party whose authorisation or approval conditions have previously been recognised as ensuring operating standards equivalent to those of this chapter, it shall submit a declaration to the effect that it has an authorisation or approval issued by the competent authorities;
3° When the laboratory does not meet the conditions defined in 1° or 2°, the performance of examinations is subject to obtaining an administrative authorisation which is issued after verification that its operating standards are equivalent to those mentioned in Article L. 6221-2.
