Article L6312-2 of the French Labour Code

Self-employed workers, members of the liberal professions and self-employed workers, including those who do not employ any salaried workers, as well as their collaborating spouse or their partner spouse mentioned inarticle L. 121-4 of the Commercial Code, personally benefit from the right to continuing professional training.

The same right is available to unemployed workers.

Les travailleurs indépendants, les membres des professions libérales et des professions non-salariées, y compris ceux n’employant aucun salarié, ainsi que leur conjoint collaborateur ou leur conjoint associé mentionné à l’article L. 121-4 du code de commerce, bénéficient personnellement du droit à la formation professionnelle continue.

Le même droit est ouvert aux travailleurs privés d’emploi.
