Article L7122-8 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The first meeting of the assembly of French Guyana shall be held ipso jure on the first Friday following its election.

At the first meeting of the assembly, immediately after the election of the president, vice-presidents and other members of the standing committee, the president shall read out the charter for locally elected representatives provided for in article L. 1111-1-1. The president provides the councillors at the assembly with a copy of the charter for locally elected representatives and chapter V of this title.

La première réunion de l’assemblée de Guyane se tient de plein droit le premier vendredi qui suit son élection.

Lors de la première réunion de l’assemblée, immédiatement après l’élection du président, des vice-présidents et des autres membres de la commission permanente, le président donne lecture de la charte de l’élu local prévue à l’article L. 1111-1-1. Le président remet aux conseillers à l’assemblée une copie de la charte de l’élu local et du chapitre V du présent titre.
