Article L722-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Where the foreign national is the subject of a deportation order, a French territory ban or an administrative ban on French territory, the procedure provided for in article L. 733-8 may be applied to him without the condition of house arrest or the condition of impossibility of ex officio enforcement of the removal decision resulting from the voluntary obstruction of the foreigner being required.
The detailed rules for the application of this article are laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

Article L722-2

Lorsque l’étranger fait l’objet d’une décision d’expulsion, d’une peine d’interdiction du territoire français ou d’une interdiction administrative du territoire français, la procédure prévue à l’article L. 733-8 peut lui être appliquée sans que la condition d’assignation à résidence ou la condition d’impossibilité d’exécution d’office de la décision d’éloignement résultant de l’obstruction volontaire de l’étranger soit requise.
Les modalités d’application du présent article sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
