Article L7222-4 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the functioning of the Assembly of Martinique proves impossible, the Government may pronounce its dissolution by reasoned decree taken in the Council of Ministers; it shall inform Parliament of this as soon as possible.

Dissolution may never be pronounced by way of a general measure.

Lorsque le fonctionnement de l’assemblée de Martinique se révèle impossible, le Gouvernement peut en prononcer la dissolution par décret motivé pris en conseil des ministres ; il en informe le Parlement dans le délai le plus bref.

La dissolution ne peut jamais être prononcée par voie de mesure générale.
