Article L7227-28 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the president of the assembly of Martinique or any vice-president, the president of the executive council or any executive councillor has ceased to engage in any professional activity for the exercise of his mandate and is no longer compulsorily covered by a social security scheme, he shall be affiliated to the general social security scheme for sickness, maternity, invalidity and death insurance benefits in kind and in cash.

The contributions of the local authority and those of the elected official are calculated on the amount of the allowances actually received by the latter in application of this code.

A decree sets the conditions for application of this article.

Article L7227-28

Lorsque le président de l’assemblée de Martinique ou tout vice-président, le président du conseil exécutif ou tout conseiller exécutif a cessé d’exercer toute activité professionnelle pour l’exercice de son mandat et ne relève plus, à titre obligatoire, d’un régime de sécurité sociale, il est affilié au régime général de la sécurité sociale pour les prestations en nature et en espèces des assurances maladie, maternité, invalidité et décès.

Les cotisations de la collectivité et celles de l’élu sont calculées sur le montant des indemnités effectivement perçues par ce dernier en application du présent code.

Un décret fixe les conditions d’application du présent article.
