The decision to detain may only be issued for overriding reasons of protecting public order or national security established on the basis of an individual assessment of the applicant, if other less coercive measures cannot be effectively applied. It takes into account the vulnerability of the applicant.

La décision de placement en rétention ne peut être édictée que pour des raisons impérieuses de protection de l’ordre public ou de la sécurité nationale établies à partir d’une évaluation individuelle du demandeur, si d’autres mesures moins coercitives ne peuvent être efficacement appliquées. Elle prend en compte la vulnérabilité du demandeur.
