Article L753-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The actual removal of the foreign national may not take place during the forty-eight hour period referred to in article L. 753-7 or, in the event of a referral to the president of the administrative court, before the latter or the designated magistrate has ruled.

L’éloignement effectif de l’étranger ne peut intervenir pendant le délai de quarante-huit heures mentionné à l’article L. 753-7 ou, en cas de saisine du président du tribunal administratif, avant que ce dernier ou le magistrat désigné ait statué.
