Article L821 of the French Public Health Code

The table is prepared each year by the administration with which the relevant joint committees sit and submitted to these committees, which then act as promotion committees and submit their proposals to the appointing authority.

The promotion table must include a number of candidates equal to the number of posts likely to become vacant during the year plus 50%.

The list must be drawn up by the appointing authority by 15 December at the latest to take effect on the following 1 January. It ceases to be valid at the end of the year for which it is drawn up.

Le tableau est préparé chaque année par l’administration auprès de laquelle siègent les commissions paritaires compétentes et soumis à ces commissions qui fonctionnent alors comme commissions d’avancement et soumettent leurs propositions à l’autorité investie du pouvoir de nomination.

Le tableau d’avancement doit comprendre un nombre de candidats égal au nombre d’emplois susceptibles de devenir vacants dans l’année majoré de 50 %.

Le tableau doit être arrêté par l’autorité investie du pouvoir de nomination le 15 décembre au plus tard pour prendre effet au 1er janvier suivant. Il cesse d’être valable à l’expiration de l’année pour laquelle il est dressé.
