Article L960-2 of the French Commercial code

In Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, the State may, by agreement with the multi-professional economic chamber of Saint-Barthélemy or the inter-professional consular chamber of Saint-Martin, entrust the latter with the exercise of missions, other than consultative ones, devolved to chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of trade and crafts and chambers of agriculture.

A Saint-Barthélemy et à Saint-Martin, l’Etat peut, par convention avec la chambre économique multiprofessionnelle de Saint-Barthélemy ou la chambre consulaire interprofessionnelle de Saint-Martin, confier à celle-ci l’exercice de missions, autres que consultatives, dévolues aux chambres de commerce et d’industrie, aux chambres de métiers et de l’artisanat et aux chambres d’agriculture.
