Article LO6431-32 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The representative of the State may, within fifteen days of it being forwarded to him or her, ask the Territorial Council or the Executive Council, as the case may be, by means of a reasoned order, for a new reading of an act or deliberation.

In the cases provided for in this article, the act or deliberation shall not become enforceable until it has been definitively adopted by the Territorial Council.

Le représentant de l’Etat peut, dans les quinze jours qui suivent la transmission qui lui en est faite, demander au conseil territorial ou au conseil exécutif, selon le cas, par un arrêté motivé, une nouvelle lecture d’un acte ou d’une délibération.

Dans les cas prévus au présent article, l’acte ou la délibération ne devient exécutoire qu’après son adoption définitive par le conseil territorial.
