The regional sports project is drawn up by the regional sports conference for a period it decides, which may not exceed five years. It includes:
1° An assessment of existing sports provision in the region, including in particular the identification of any territorial deficits and the public groups for whom it is not accessible;
2° A programme including the measures and actions to be implemented, in particular with regard to the objectives mentioned in 1° to 8° of article L. 112-14 and taking into account the national guidelines in terms of sports policy defined within the framework of the agreement on objectives and resources signed between the State and the National Sports Agency and the specific characteristics of each territory where they are to be implemented;
3° The methods for monitoring the action programme.
It refers to existing contributions and organisations, in particular the collective sports services plan mentioned in article L. 111-2, where applicable the regional sports development plan drawn up by the territorial conference on public action mentioned inarticle L. 1111-9-1 of the General Local Authorities Code, where applicable, the plan contracts mentioned inarticle 11 of law no. 82-653 of 29 July 1982 on planning reform, federal sports projects and the work of thematic commissions.
It is sent to the National Sports Agency by the chair of the regional sports conference and published.
The territorial sports project may be revised under the conditions defined in this article. A revision must be initiated at least six months before the end of the current project. Failing this, the current project is extended for a maximum period of twelve months.
