Article R131-17 of the French Sports Code

Staff carrying out the duties of sports technical advisors are appointed by order of the Minister for Sport after consultation with :

– the president of the federation concerned, in the case of those with the role of national technical director ;

– the national technical director or, in the absence of a national technical director, the president of the federation concerned, in the case of those tasked with the role of national coach or national or regional technical advisor.

Article R131-17

Les personnels exerçant les missions de conseillers techniques sportifs sont désignés par arrêté du ministre chargé des sports après avis :

– du président de la fédération intéressée, pour ceux qui sont chargés de la mission de directeur technique national ;

– du directeur technique national ou, à défaut de directeur technique national, du seul président de la fédération intéressée, pour ceux qui sont chargés d’une mission d’entraîneur national ou de conseiller technique national ou régional.
