Article R1411-5 of the French Public Health Code

The Haut Conseil de la santé publique (High Council for Public Health), in conjunction with the departments of the Ministry of Health and the health authorities and agencies, identifies the need for information on changes in the state of health of the population and inequalities in health, as well as on the effects of the implementation of policies likely to have an impact on health, and proposes, where appropriate, to the Minister of Health the studies and information research required to meet these needs. This analysis is reassessed at least every ten years.

Le Haut Conseil de la santé publique identifie, en lien avec les services du ministère chargé de la santé et les autorités et agences sanitaires, les besoins d’information sur l’évolution de l’état de santé de la population et des inégalités de santé ainsi que sur les effets de la mise en œuvre des politiques susceptibles d’avoir un impact sur la santé, et propose, le cas échéant, au ministre chargé de la santé les études et recherches d’informations permettant d’y répondre. Cette analyse fait l’objet d’une réévaluation au moins tous les dix ans.
