Article R211-10 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The Minister responsible for culture issues the cinematographic exhibition permit for cinematographic or audiovisual works or documents intended for cinematographic representation, after obtaining the opinion of the commission for the classification of cinematographic works or in the light of the report, endorsed by the chair of this commission, of the classification committee.
The Minister responsible for culture may withdraw the cinematographic exhibition permit in the event of non-compliance with the provisions of this chapter and in particular in the event of the production of false declarations or false information in support of the application for a permit.

Le ministre chargé de la culture délivre le visa d’exploitation cinématographique aux œuvres ou documents cinématographiques ou audiovisuels destinés à une représentation cinématographique, après avis de la commission de classification des œuvres cinématographiques ou au vu du rapport, visé par le président de cette commission, du comité de classification.
Le ministre chargé de la culture peut retirer le visa d’exploitation cinématographique en cas d’inobservation des dispositions du présent chapitre et notamment en cas de production, à l’appui de la demande de visa, de fausses déclarations ou de faux renseignements.
