Article R2114-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The decree provided for in the first paragraph of Article L. 2114-1 is adopted on the report of the Minister for the Interior and the Minister for the Economy and Finance after the formalities provided for in Articles L. 2112-1 to L. 2112-10 and L. 2112-13 relating to territorial boundaries insofar as their provisions are not contrary to those of articles L. 2114-1 to L. 2114-3 relating to the abolition of communes.

The observations of the inhabitants of the commune, mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 2114-1, are sent to the prefecture.

Le décret prévu au premier alinéa de l’article L. 2114-1 est pris sur le rapport du ministre de l’intérieur et du ministre de l’économie et des finances après accomplissement des formalités prévues aux articles L. 2112-1 à L. 2112-10 et L. 2112-13 relatifs aux limites territoriales dans la mesure où leurs dispositions ne sont pas contraires à celles des articles L. 2114-1 à L. 2114-3 relatifs à la suppression de communes.

Les observations des habitants de la commune, mentionnées au deuxième alinéa de l’article L. 2114-1, sont adressées à la préfecture.
