Article R2141-16 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine will take a decision within two months of receipt of the complete application. If the administration remains silent on expiry of this period, the application will be deemed to have been rejected.

The Director General of the Agency may request, by any means enabling receipt of the request to be dated, any additional information that he considers necessary for the authorisation dossier to be examined. He will inform the applicant of the deadline by which this information must be provided. This request for additional information suspends the deadline mentioned in the first paragraph.

Article R2141-16

Le directeur général de l’Agence de la biomédecine se prononce dans un délai de deux mois à compter de la réception de la demande complète. Le silence de l’administration à l’expiration de ce délai vaut rejet de la demande.

Le directeur général de l’agence peut demander, par tout moyen permettant de donner date certaine à la réception de sa demande, toute information complémentaire qu’il estime nécessaire à l’instruction du dossier d’autorisation. Il indique au demandeur le délai dans lequel ces informations doivent être fournies. Cette demande d’information complémentaire suspend le délai mentionné au premier alinéa.
