Article R2191-31 of the French Public procurement code

In the event of termination of the contract giving rise to entitlement to compensation, if the parties fail to reach agreement on the amount of compensation within six months of the date of termination, the contractor shall, at his request, receive the amount proposed by the purchaser.

En cas de résiliation du marché ouvrant droit à indemnisation, si les parties ne parviennent pas, dans un délai de six mois à compter de la date de la résiliation, à un accord sur le montant de l’indemnité, le titulaire perçoit, à sa demande, le montant que l’acheteur a proposé.
