Article R2213-48 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The intervention of the officials mentioned in article L. 2213-14 gives rise to the payment of a sessional fee for each of the operations provided for below:

1° The closing of the coffin and the affixing of seals, in the event of the body being transported outside the commune of death or deposit and when no member of the family is present;

2° The closing of the coffin and the affixing of seals, when the body is to be cremated.

L’intervention des fonctionnaires mentionnés à l’article L. 2213-14 donne lieu au versement d’une vacation pour chacune des opérations prévues ci-après :

1° La fermeture du cercueil et la pose de scellés, en cas de transport du corps hors de la commune de décès ou de dépôt et lorsqu’aucun membre de la famille n’est présent ;

2° La fermeture du cercueil et la pose de scellés, lorsqu’il doit être procédé à la crémation du corps.
