Article R223-3 of the French Consumer Code

The personal information that may be entered on the opposition list is exclusively the telephone number(s) designated by the consumer together with the date and time of registration.

Consumers wishing to register on this list may do so electronically or by any other means. Confirmation of registration is the subject of a registration receipt which is sent to the consumer by the organisation in the same way as the registration. This receipt specifies the duration of the registration and the date on which it becomes effective, at the latest within thirty days of the issue of the receipt.
Each number is registered for a period of three years. Registration is tacitly renewable for three-year periods. The organisation shall inform the consumer at the time of registration and, at least three months before the date of tacit renewal of this registration, of the arrangements enabling him to deregister.

The consumer may deregister at any time.
Consumers may unsubscribe from the list at any time by electronic or any other means. Confirmation of their unsubscription, indicating the date on which it takes effect, will be issued to them in the same way as for their unsubscription.

Les informations nominatives qui peuvent être portées sur la liste d’opposition sont exclusivement le ou les numéros de téléphone désignés par le consommateur accompagnés de la date et de l’heure d’inscription.

Le consommateur qui désire s’inscrire sur cette liste peut y procéder par voie électronique ou par tout autre moyen. Une confirmation de son inscription fait l’objet d’un récépissé d’inscription qui lui est communiqué par l’organisme dans les mêmes formes que celles de l’inscription. Ce récépissé précise la durée de l’inscription ainsi que la date à laquelle elle devient effective au plus tard dans les trente jours de la délivrance du récépissé.

Chaque numéro est inscrit pour une durée de trois ans. Cette inscription est tacitement reconductible par période de trois ans. L’organisme informe le consommateur lors de son inscription et, au moins trois mois avant la date de reconduction tacite de cette inscription, des modalités lui permettant de se désinscrire.

Le consommateur peut se désinscrire à tout moment de la liste par voie électronique ou par tout autre moyen. Une confirmation de sa désinscription indiquant sa date de prise d’effet lui est délivrée dans les mêmes formes que celles de sa désinscription.
