Claims concerning legacies in favour of a commune or a communal public establishment, made by the legal heirs, may be submitted to the Minister of the Interior within six months of the opening of the will. They include the surnames, first names and addresses of the claimants, their order and degree of relationship to the deceased, as well as the reasons for the claim.
The Minister of the Interior informs the mayor of the commune or the representative of the legatee establishment of these claims and issues the claimants with an acknowledgement of receipt.
Where the claims are made after the expiry of the period referred to in the first paragraph or come from persons other than the legal heirs, the acknowledgement of receipt shall state that they are inadmissible.
