When it carries out voluntary termination of pregnancy by medication, the centre must enlist the help of a pharmacist registered on the roll of section E or H of the national order of pharmacists.
If the centre is part of a health establishment, this pharmacist may be one of the pharmacists in the establishment’s in-house pharmacy, which supplies the centre under the conditions set out in article R. 5126-13.
In the absence of a pharmacist, the director or another doctor or midwife of the centre, designated by name, may be authorised by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency to hold, control and manage the medicines required for voluntary termination of pregnancy by medication. Silence on the part of the Director General of the Regional Health Agency will be deemed to constitute tacit authorisation on expiry of a period of two months from the date of receipt of the application.
