Article R232-46-3 of the French Sports Code

Subject to the definition provided by each federation mentioned in 3° of article L. 230-2, the competition period begins at 11.59 p.m. on the day before a competition in which the athlete is due to take part and ends at the end of this competition or, where applicable, at the end of any sampling process linked to this competition.

Unless otherwise provided for in the agreement referred to in 2° of Article L. 232-16, additional tests conducted by the French Anti-Doping Agency at the site of an international sporting event are considered to be tests outside of competition periods.

Sous réserve de la définition qu’en donne chaque fédération mentionnée au 3° de l’article L. 230-2, la période de compétition commence à 23 h 59 la veille d’une compétition à laquelle le sportif doit participer et se termine à la fin de cette compétition ou, s’il y a lieu, à l’issue du processus de prélèvement le cas échéant lié à cette compétition.


Sauf disposition contraire dans l’accord mentionné au 2° de l’article L. 232-16, les contrôles additionnels diligentés par l’Agence française de lutte contre le dopage sur le site d’une manifestation sportive internationale sont regardés comme des contrôles en dehors des périodes de compétition.
